For something completely silly:
Dark Roast is my favorite roast.
My preference is for whole bean ground right before I brew it. I will do ground coffee on occasion but it is usually espresso.
My favorite summer drink is 2 parts cold pressed dark roast to 1 part very vanilla soy milk and the rest of the year just a classic latte.
I don't have any favorite brands. Dunn Brothers or Caribou is preferred name brand coffee shops to Starbucks but my preference is usually for local small businesses.
